Local favorites, The Dady Brothers have been performing professionally for 20 years. Their unique blend of Irish and American folk music has piqued the interest of audiences not only in the US, but also in Ireland and Canada. Born and bred in Rochester, The Dady Brothers are skilled instrumentalists. They have released six full-length albums and produced three documentaries.

Acoustic Instrument "Petting Zoo"
The Dadys will introduce at least 10 acoustic instruments including guitar, banjo, fiddle, mandolin, harmonica, tin whistle, bodhran (Irish drum), uilleann pipes (Irish pipes), and ukulele. Joe and John, both multi-instrumentalists, will demonstrate the playing of the instruments and then invite the students to try them out with instruction. |

Songs of Ireland
In this lively performance of folk songs and instrumentals of Ireland, including songs from the bardic tradition, The Dady Brothers entertain and educate students of all levels using a variety of folk instruments including the fiddle, mandolin, banjo, Irish pipes, the bodhran (Irish drums), tin whistle and harmonica. |

Songs of the Erie Canal
This folk history performance includes songs and tales of the Erie Canal. The artists skillfully depict the construction of the canal and 19th century canal life. |

American Folk Music Experience
The Dady Brothers take students through the history of American folk music with instruments that include the banjo, guitar, harmonica and mandolin. The Dadys perform music from different genres of the American folk experience including country, blues, blue grass and the American ballad to tell the story of American history through song. |
